I’m Not Sorry! Sorry Seems to be an Easy Word.

I am so tired of the public apologies. After so many, they all seem like they’re being read from the exact same script.

Congressman Wiener’s saga was a real groaner. (That was the only pun I hadn’t heard used yet.) Tracy Morgan seems almost too stupid to hold accountable. And as for the pilot on Southwest; even the “grannies, grandes and gay guys” he works with wouldn’t pity-fu@# him, so I’m guessing he is just as repulsive in real life as he sounds on the flight channel.

Three cock-sure guyz who lack any common sense. Is there a class for that, maybe just a good mentor?

People can be mean and judgmental. And most of us have said terrible things under our breath in what we thought was a private place. Queen, please. These days you don’t have to be a movie star to have to do like your Momma told you and “Watch your mouth!” Get ready for it because the average Joe is having to say “goodbye” to privacy and hello to a pretty surprising transparency and accountability one-two-punch! So don’t apologize if you really aren’t sorry, because now we’re watching you.

You know who I could use an apology from? Sarah Palin. I do enjoy watching her get things wrong. If only she would admit it afterwards. Why doesn’t she just say “I’m NOT sorry. I DO believe that straight people should have rights that gay people don’t.” Instead I am treated to her fumbling rationalizations which are strangely riveting–like watching a not-so-bright puppy fall head first into a puddle. Oh, is that mean? I’m soooooo sorry.

  1. I do not accept your apology, because you forgot to mention how much you regretted enjoying yourself.
    LOL Great post!

  2. Mean? Yes. You shouldn’t mock puppies. It’s not their fault that Sarah Palin is so stupid. xoxo
